A freelance filmmaker, artist, and writer, Mikel dedicates himself to telling stories regardless of medium. Mikel has producing credits on thesis films, has written and directed 16 shorts while in school, and has writing credits doing story scenarios for the indie game company Visustella.Graduating with high honors from USC with a Masters in film and television production, Mikel knows how to work on small and large-scale productions. Collaboration is the cornerstone of his work philosophy; to make something big, you can't do it alone.Most recently, Mikel has been working with artist Jose Campa, publishing a graphic novel for young adult readers while working on his first feature film as director.Mikel currently lives in Los Angeles with his husband, reading books and working through an ever-increasing backlog of movies.
